An excellent opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join a growing team a young biotech spin-out company of the University of Oxford. They are currently launching a system for isolating and culturing single-cells based on the company's innovative fluid manipulation technology. This technology is designed to aid in stem-cell research and drug discovery applications.

They have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic HR Administrator to join a growing team and to take on a leading role in human relations. Both full-time or part-time applicants will be considered and there will be scope for flexible hours and remote working for up to 1/3rd of contracted hours.

Job description
The HR administrator will take on a leading role in all HR activities of the company. You will be a core part of recruitment, talent identification and on-boarding for their expanding company. You will also assist with the general office administrative tasks as required. As the sole HR administrator for the growing company you will initially report directly to the CEO or his nominee, and working closely with the company's in-house lawyer and office administrator on various initiatives/tasks.

Your responsibilities as the HR administrator will include:
- Forming and maintaining employee records, e.g. holidays & sick days
- Managing the on-boarding of new employees
- Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents, i.e. employment contracts and recruitment guides
- Reviewing and renewing company policies and legal compliance
- Creation and implementation of new company policies
- Focal point for recruitment/on-boarding
- Being the first point of contact for employees on HR related queries
- Assisting with payroll/pensions
- Assisting with employee reviews/interviews
- Assisting in day to day activities of the business

The successful applicant will be expected to have experience in the following:
- HR administration
- High level of computer skills; especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Good understanding and knowledge of maintaining employee records
- Organisational skills and ability to prioritise
- Interpersonal with good communicative skills

The following would also be desirable
- CIPD level 3/Degree in HR or related field
- Experience/good understanding of GDPR
- Shorthand
- Experience as a PA
