HR Administrator – Competitive Salary – Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex

The Role

People are at the heart of our business. Working within a small and dedicated team, the HR Administrator will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of HR activities including: recruitment, new starter and leaver processes, absence management, maintaining HR records, training and development, contract variations and preparing reports. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly growing company.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the HR Manager with all areas of the recruitment process and organising on- boarding for new starters
  • Supporting the HR Manager with all areas of the leaver process
  • Maintaining HR records and ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations
  • Preparing paperwork relating to the whole employee life cycle, including contracts and contract variation documents
  • Providing administrative support in booking and tracking training and development activities across the business
  • Preparing reports, attending meetings and acting as note taker
  • Taking responsibility for the day-to-day ownership of the absence management system and generating absence reports for payroll
  • Providing ad hoc administrative support to the HR Manager on project work and employee relations casework
  • Assisting the HR Manager with improvements to HR efficiency and service
  • Ensuring that employee confidentiality is adhered to and being an advocate for the company values (Focus, Pace, Accountability, Positivity and One Team)

We ship classic VW and Porsche car parts to customers in over 100 countries worldwide from our busy warehouse in Shoreham-by-Sea. We are part of a thriving community of enthusiasts and take part in numerous shows, events and festivals throughout the year.

Our current product range covers 23,000 different parts, and this number is constantly increasing. With suppliers worldwide, and several of our own manufacturing projects that produce exclusive products for us, keeping the right parts on the shelf and at the right price is a huge part of our business.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of an HR Administrator:

  • An exceptional administrator, able to manage a large volume of work whilst maintaining an eye for detail
  • A high level of discretion
  • Confident IT skills (MS Office) with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Positive, confident communicator (written and oral) with excellent customer service skills
  • Personal resilience and the capacity to work effectively and stay calm under pressure
  • Happy to work independently and problem solve
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in developing a career in HR with a commitment to continuing professional development

CIPD Level 3 or equivalent; experience working with an HR database or absence management system; and a second language (German, Spanish or French) would be desirable but not essential.
