Our client Human Resources is a division of our client based in the middle of the UK. They offer retained and pay-as-you-go or consultancy HR support across multiple sectors, predominately in the UK. This HR Advisor role is to be internally facing for our clients South East Midlands region.
Their wider HR team is dedicated to people who own and run businesses and face the challenges of managing, developing and inspiring people. They achieve this through their knowledgeable, energetic and agile team who work hard to protect their client’s businesses helping them meet their day-to-day HR challenges and in building and delivering their strategic people plan.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 per annum
About the role:
The HR Advisor will work with the Head of / Director of HR in managing the regions employee relations matters and projects. You will ensure the delivery of accurate, well-presented documentation and presentations that ensure their culture, brand and reputation is continually protected and improved.
As part of their team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of initiatives, including events, campaigns and social media. You will also commit to channel efforts that will meet the strategic aspirations of our client, which means seeking knowledge to understand the services they offer.
Key responsibilities will be to ensure that HR solutions are in place for any given HR challenge. Advice will be via telephone or in person across the region. Challenges, issues or ideas may be performance management, capability, sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, or contractually related.
- Good knowledge of UK Employment Law and the at least 2 years’ experience of practical application
- Experience managing HR issues including the identification of root cause and the delivery of practical solutions
- Excellent relationship and communication skills
- Understanding of a service-led environment that supports multiple sectors and culture
- CIPD qualified or QBE; qualified by experience, to HR Assistant level.
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. IRIS is advantageous
- Technology focused and able to adapt to multiple or new systems
- Able to travel according to the needs of the business
