We are Usborne Publishing – one of the world’s leading children’s publishers. We have around 250 staff based at our London, Oxford and Wolverhampton offices – a workplace environment that is designed to inspire creativity and promote innovation.
We are looking for an experienced HR generalist to be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of our HR systems and processes. You will also be the first point of contact for many routine HR matters and support line managers and employees. You will also be responsible for inputting and keeping all HR records up-to-date on our HR systems.
It’s a busy and varied role, so you’ll also need to be pro-active and flexible with a ‘can-do’ approach to your work. Proficient IT skills are a must too.
Whilst you’ll be able to call upon the support of our HR Consultant, this is a ‘stand-alone’ role, which is why you’ll need at least 2 years’ previous experience in a relevant HR role and a good working knowledge of HR practices, procedures and basic employment law knowledge. You’ll also need excellent all-level communication and interpersonal skills, together with diplomacy and tact.
