Part-time Human Resources Advisor

30 hours per week, with flexible working and free parking

Hospice Pay Band 5 - £25,386-£29,664 pro rata per annum

Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice excels at providing end of life care, recently being rated Good by CQC. Our mission is to ensure the best hospice care is available for all patients, families and carers across our community, wherever and whenever they need it.  We are developing a new Hospice strategy for 2020 and beyond, and our proactive and professional HR team will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the strategy.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we develop and embed our People Strategy, transform how we deliver our service, and complete the implementation of our first integrated payroll and HR system.

This is a role for a true generalist. You will take the lead on providing ER advice, coaching managers in the resolution of people issues and policy development. You will be undertaking people analytics, designing and delivering L&D and leading on wellbeing initiatives. There are always going to be interesting people projects to be involved in, it's a role that offers real variety.

The successful candidate will be able to quickly establish their credibility and positive relationships with people, and enjoy working in a highly collaboratively way. You'll be a confident and credible communicator, able to influence and to act as a trusted advisor to the business. You will be able to provide high quality HR advice on the full range of employee relations issues, and use data to support informed decision making. You will be positive, proactive and committed to our HR Service Promise, seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement.

Possessing a working knowledge across key elements of the CIPD profession map, you will ideally hold CIPD membership supported by a Level 5 qualification in Human Resources or have an equivalent level of experience, with experience in a similar role with a demonstrable commitment to your CPD.
