The opportunity


Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced Recruitment/HR Advisor to join our highly successful HR Hub team in our Birmingham office to be the first point of contact for recruitment queries and drive the recruitment agenda.  You will have the opportunity to work in a fast paced HR environment, with the majority of the role focussed on recruiting the best talent for Thompsons, including occasional national travel.

The role


As the HR Advisor focussing on recruitment you will be working closely with other HR professionals, with the support of an Administration Apprentice, focussing on recruitment for Thompsons as a whole.  You will therefore need to have significant recruitment experience, ideally within professional services, recruiting both high volume and very specialist roles. You will need to be a team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.


A day in the life of a HR Advisor is never the same, however a typical day may include reviewing current vacancies, contacting candidates and hiring managers, liaising with recruitment agencies and dealing with project work.
