Vacancy: HR Advisor (Recruitment)
Salary: Starting at £24,778
Contract: Permanent - Full Time
Thompsons Solicitors are a law firm unlike any other. With nearly 100 years’ experience of successfully representing clients of injury and mistreatment, we have the privilege of working with and supporting the Trade Union Movement and the people they represent.
By providing an inclusive environment, we ensure that individually and collectively we flourish to be the best we can be. We are recognised as one of the UK's leading teams by credible directories including The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, as well as being highly recommended in The Times’ Best Law Firms 2019. We pride ourselves on being “the most experienced trade union, claimant and employment rights law firm in the UK”, our friendly working environment and our excellent work/life balance.
Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced Recruitment/HR Advisor to join our highly successful HR Hub team in our Birmingham office to be the first point of contact for recruitment queries and drive the recruitment agenda. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast paced HR environment, with the majority of the role focussed on recruiting the best talent for Thompsons, including occasional national travel.
With a passion for recruitment and HR, you will take pride in delivering a first class recruitment service to our clients. To ensure you thrive in the role, we will provide you with structured supervision, coaching and training as well as a nurturing environment, where you can grow and shape your career.
As the HR Advisor focussing on recruitment you will be working closely with other HR professionals, with the support of an Administration Apprentice, focussing on recruitment for Thompsons as a whole. You will therefore need to have significant recruitment experience, ideally within professional services, recruiting both high volume and very specialist roles. You will need to be a team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.
A day in the life of a HR Advisor is never the same, however a typical day may include reviewing current vacancies, contacting candidates and hiring managers, liaising with recruitment agencies and dealing with project work.
We recognise and reward high performance, with competitive salaries and an extensive benefits package including:
Structured pay scales
Contributory pension scheme
Permanent health insurance
23 days annual leave (in addition to bank holidays)
Employee Assistance Programme
Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
Cycle to work scheme
Organised sports and social club
