HR Assistant / Administrator – Part Time 
Aldridge, West Midlands

With outstanding customer service and extensive technical knowledge, our client is one of the nation’s leading suppliers of piling products, tubular products and plastic building materials based within three trading companies. They are now looking for an HR Assistant / Administrator to join their team on a part time basis, working 30 hours per week.

As an HR Assistant / Administrator, you will be tasked with the delivery of all HR activities and the provision of advice and guidance to employees, Supervisors and Managers for HR-related matters. 

Working directly with the Human Resource Director, you will also provide a secretarial and support service to the Chairman. 

Regarding the HR aspects of your role, you will provide a first line HR generalist service to the business, supporting other companies within the group, help with recruitment activities and offer HR admin support to Managers. 

You’ll assist with the on-boarding and new starter processes, administer benefits schemes, such as the cycle to work scheme, and send out HR-related correspondence. 

In terms of your secretarial support services; you will field in-coming calls, type, file and create private letters for the company and maintain the diary. You’ll undertake secretarial and administration work for the Chairman, Financial Director, and other Director-level personnel and occasionally offer secretarial services to other departments or other companies within the group. 

As part of your role, you will occasionally be required to travel to our client’s site in St Helens. 

So, are you interested in this dual role? If so, you will need: 

- HR experience 
- A good understanding of HR policies and procedures 
- Good knowledge of employment law and its applications 
- Excellent IT skills 
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle 

Proactive and dedicated, as an HR Assistant / Administrator, you will also have a close attention to detail, excellent time management skills and superb communication abilities. 

CIPD qualifications would be beneficial to your application. 

This is a part time role working 30 hours per week, ideally 8:30am – 2:30pm, Monday – Friday. However, our client is willing to be flexible for the right person.
