HR Business Partner - Inchcape UK (field based role)

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented HRBP to join Inchcape UK, working with a leading brand within the motor industry.

As HRBP you will be accountable for delivering a professional Human Resource generalist experience to all relevant stakeholders. Strategic partnering with the Senior Management and Operation Teams with the responsibility for delivering specific franchise people plans.

You will collaborate with all HR functions, Operations, specific Franchise Director and OEM as part of a fast paced, multi matrix environment, whilst being an enabler to deliver commercially focused results.

This is a field based role.

 

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build strong relationships with all senior leadership teams in order to influence, challenge and support the business/people strategy
  • Provide technical knowledge to deliver Inchcape strategies; TUPE, redundancy,  acquisition, merger and disposal, settlement agreements  and performance management
  • Employee engagement; Clear focus, creative ideas, focus groups and action plans for relevant division
  • Employee Relations; Supplies an efficient ER service; case management, training, policy and procedure updates
  • Training; Liaise with L&D Managers for specific training needs analysis and delivery, identify skill gaps through talent management output, one to one management coaching and General Manager meeting training delivery

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. Customer Focus
    • Facilitate training and develop to achieve the required CSS/NPS scores
    • Always an advocate and role model for the brand to external/internal customers
    • Listens effectively, communicate clearly and utilise effective influencing skills with internal stakeholders
    • Promote the importance of quality by using Inchcape’s customer journey
  2. Operational Focus
    • Align HR priorities with the operational short, medium and long term strategy
    • Can influence and guide management when looking at resource by using the annual planner effectively
    • Ensures action is taken and guidance is given to the SMT regarding compliance and policies
    • Skilfully assimilates HR data reports effectively and is used to inform and create operational success
  3. Business Focus
    • Ability and positive in working with the brand and other retailers to improve the brand offering
    • Skilled at monitoring and creating action plans for people trends that affect divisional performance
    • Naturally translates business requirements into effective HR practices
    • Commercially focused and able to create a strategy with informed value drivers for special measure sites
    • Uses experience of running, managing and facilitating projects aligned to business needs
  4. People Focus
    • Foresight to Look ahead and create a sustainable people plan aligned to the Ignite and divisional strategy
    • Is always an enabler in creating an environment in which the division can thrive and self-actualise in
    • Assists Managers to create effective team briefs, Drive 5 reviews and employee engagement practices
    • Translates expert performance management experience to line managers by utilising various methods
    • Ensures all mandatory training in Inchcape and the Manufacture has been completed
    • Skilled at running a talent management programme, nurturing talent and creating a robust succession plan
  5. Revenue Generation
    • Skilled at developing General Managers in people practices which helps with silent revenues
    • Always creates and maintains a professional retail image through positive media exposure
    • Organised through organisation design and change programmes, with empathy for business costs
