The role holder will be responsible for supporting the Head of HR in all Human Resources disciplines and project work as required.
To provide high quality HR advice, guidance and support, across the full range of HR disciplines to managers and staff.
To manage employee relations caseload including; managing disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence and performance management cases in a timely manner.
To work closely with the Senior HR Adviser in managing, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice and supporting managers and employees with appropriate training and development.
Contribute to the development and improvement of HR systems and processes.
Deputise for the Head of HR.
Undertake other HR work/project work as directed by the Head of HR.
Some travel to the crew base in Leipzig, Germany will be required.
Post-graduate HR qualification or equivalent.
Significant generalist HR experience across the full range of HR disciplines at the HR Business Partner level in a fast paced environment.
Experienced in managing a varied employee relations caseload, to include disciplinary, grievance, redundancy/restructure, sickness absence and performance management.
Strong knowledge of up to date employment legislation.
Strong attention to detail and exceptionally well organised.
Strong time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan and manage time effectively, work well under pressure, able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and experienced in managing a varied workload.
Good relationship building skills, with the confidence to challenge senior management where necessary, always acting with integrity.
Previous experience of working in a unionised environment.
Previous supervisory/line management experience is desirable.
Fluent in German and previous experience of working in HR for a German company (with exposure to a German payroll, the German Social Security system and German statutory benefits) would be desirable but not essential.
