Reporting to the Deputy Director of HR, you will help manage a small team of HR professionals including one Advisor and a HR Manager. You will act as a Business Partner in HR, closely partnering with Senior Stakeholders across the University and working at a strategic level towards the People Strategy.
You will act as the critical lead for HR Projects including re-orgs and re-structures, payroll changes and redunancies where required as well as working towards a succession planning and Talent Planning for the next 3-5 years. As well as havig Strategic experience, you will have Operations experience and not be afraid to 'roll your sleeves up'. Where this is a small organisation you will also be doing some Administration in the role and day to day HR duties. You will be pragmatic in your approach and able to deal with many diferrent stakeholders across the organisation, namely Academics at a senior level. You will have strong Employee Relations experience and be able to handle complex cases. You will be able to create and develop HR initiatives, working closely with the HR Director in regards to recruitment, complex casework, TUPE, redundancies, re-orgs and re-structures across an organisation.
For this role, University experience or similar is essential. Ideally you will have experience from an Arts/ Culture environment, public sector, Education or local Government. You will ideally be CIPD or MCIPD qualified and will hold a degree or equivalent experience. You will ideally be able to start within 1 month, although a 3 month notice period will be considered.
