About the role:

The main purpose of this role is to support the Senior Leadership Team with the delivery of the Strategic Plan to drive the business forward. The role is a broad generalist role involving all areas of the employee lifecycle, including transactional HR, to complex employee relations, through to change management.

You will implement current and future objectives for plans and projects in relation to organisational development, cultural change and communications. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the business strategy of this highly regarded, values-based organisation.

Responsibilities:

- To partner with the various Business Leaders and their respective Divisions to implement initiatives aligned to the business strategy in the areas of performance management, recognition, career development, organisational design, workforce planning, succession planning, people development, compensation planning and employee relations.
- Provide guidance and support to Line Managers on all aspects of HR including policies and procedures, performance management, capability, disciplinary and grievance; acting as first line support for all staff from all business units. This support could be on both a professional level and personal level so you will need to be prepared to spend the necessary time with staff when needed.
- Continually evaluate the effects of voluntary and involuntary turnover of staff through analysis of Exit Interview data.
- Keep up to date with legislation, updating policies and procedures as required.
- Support effective delivery of reward and recognition programmes including managing pay and bonus reviews, ensuring consistency
- Work with the business to lead on the employee engagement survey and support Managers to identify and implement actions required.
- Drive forward all wellbeing initiatives.
- Uphold Equality and Diversity policies and promoting these as part of the culture of the organisation.
- Work with Line Managers to analyse training needs and agree and deliver a cost effective and meaningful Learning and Development Plan.
- Develop and deliver internal training workshops for managers and employees.
- Support and lead various ad-hoc projects as dictated by the needs of the business.

About you:

- Significant experience in a HR Manager role leading a Team.
- Credibility and impact to act as a true business partner, proactively managing a wide range of stakeholders to form strong, influential and successful working relationships.
- Confident in directing and advising Line Managers on all aspects of people management and development.
- Experience of dealing with complex employee relations issues.
- Ability to develop HR strategies and deliver change.
- CIPD qualification.
- Up to date knowledge of employment law.
- Previous experience of managing budgets.
- Exposure to facilitating and delivering learning and development to staff and of coaching to managers.
- Work proactively with other HR colleagues to share learning, best practice and drive efficiency.
