About the role:
Reporting to the Head of OD & Talent, the Engagement Specialist will be responsible for their colleague experience; leading on corporate engagement, ensuring colleagues have a clear voice within the business and delivering in line with their commitment to being an employer of choice. This role will be actively involved in a range of OD initiatives to support the wider delivery of their People Strategy and Building Greatness, their transformational change programme.
The successful candidate will be CIPD Qualified Level 5 and above or alternative HR / L&D certification and will have GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths. With experience in a similar role you will have experience of coaching and mentoring at all levels and of creating an ethos of high performance. You will also have experience of improving management capability and of leading change management projects including leading colleague forums.
Additionally, you will have experience of developing and delivering engagement / training sessions and of matrix management. You will have experience of providing a value add support service and of senior stakeholder management at Director level. You will also have experience of supporting both cultural and behavioural change. You will have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and contextualise data / trends and strong IT skills; able to perform at an advanced level, in particular on Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
You will also have an understanding of how to build & develop high performance teams and of Equality & Diversity legislation and best practice. You will have knowledge of current legislation, issues, trends and best practice within the HR & OD arena and will have excellent presentation skills, able to convey complex messages in an easy to understand and engaging way. The ability to work flexibly, including outside normal working hours when needed, and to travel to all of their offices as required is essential.
