HR Manager - Security

Location: Based in Cowley, with travel to other sites

Salary: c£45k plus car / car allowance, pension, healthcare, and additional benefits

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to work in partnership with the Security Function to shape, develop, and deliver HR plans and solutions. There is a strong focus on supporting the Group Security Director as well as senior security managers, covering all employees working within Security across the full range of people activities. You will be a full member of the Security Senior Leadership Team (SLT) providing a single point of contact for all HR related matters. The role focus is strategic, has a strong level of project orientation in addition to ensuring HR best practice in all areas of the Group Security Function.


- Support the Director and senior leadership team to devise and implement HR strategies and processes and legal requirements.
- Initiate and share best practice in people activity across Security and where appropriate, the wider Group.
- Take responsibility for developing the capability of all Security Colleagues.
- Take responsibility for implementing the agreed Security structure.
- Develop HR strategies alongside the Head of HR and Security Director.
- Work with the HR Administration Team and HR Advisor Team to ensure high standards of HR activity including but not limited to; recruitment, administration, legal compliance and employee relations.
- Undertake wide ranging projects including but not limited to developing employee engagement strategy and succession planning.
- Champion employee engagement, developing the strategy to drive activity and coaching the leadership population in order to develop excellence in this area.

Essential Criteria:

- Educated to Graduate level or equivalent.
- Experience of developing teams and increasing team capability.
- Recruitment experience at senior management level.
- Effective project management skills.
- High level of PC literacy.
- Experience in prioritising own workload around tight deadlines in a pressurised environment.
- Experience of developing HR strategy.
- Good numerical and literacy skills.

Desirable Criteria:

- CIPD qualified or part qualified.
- Qualified in SHL Level 2 / BPS Level B.
