We are Kingsland Drinks. We are a premier independent UK supplier of wine and spirits to grocery retail, on and off-trade, covering a wide range of price points from every day drinking to premium range. Our roots are in Manchester, where we started over 60 years ago. Our vision is to drive sustainable growth for us and for our customers by being a world-class provider. Times and technologies have changed, but today we stand for what we’ve always stood for: bringing our customers quality products and outstanding service, responsibly.

This is a great opportunity to join our business in a brand new role – reporting directly to the HR Manager – and being able to put your own brand on the position from day one. You will join a fantastic company enjoying a sustained period of growth – and as part of that growth the HR department needs to expand. We do need someone with existing HR experience, ideally 2+ years, even better if you are a CIPD graduate. You’ll be someone who can hit the ground running in terms of your knowledge of employment legislation, HR processes and procedures such as recruitment and selection, disciplinary and grievance. If you come from a manufacturing environment that would be an advantage to, in respect to understanding the nature and style of our business.

We are an open and honest business with clear lines of communication to all levels, you will have regular exposure to the senior managers and Board – stakeholder management and communication is a key skill in any hire we make. You will work alongside all levels of line managers, assisting them in understanding and implementing policies and procedures and any employment legislation changes. Obviously, you’ll work most closely with the HR Manager and have plenty of opportunity to get involved in all sorts of projects, as an example we’re about to undertake Platinum IIP accreditation.

As with the majority of all our positions at Kingsland, the very nature of the role and our work style means there is considerable overlap across all departments within the business, so this would suit someone looking for a fast paced, flexible opportunity where your character and personality will be as highly valued as your skills and experience.

Above all, we are a fun, progressive, developing company where you can build a great career and thoroughly enjoy coming to work. We are people orientated, they are our greatest asset, and keen to add an enthusiastic and motivated HR professional to our team. If you feel this is the right opportunity for you then please contact our recruitment partner – Veritas - to discuss in more detail, or forward your CV quoting ref: 5046/32.
