HR Officer 

They are the UK’s leading motor finance broker, employing 230+ people UK-wide and they are currently looking for motivated, career driven candidates to expand their frontline New Business Team based at their Head Office in Chesterfield. 

Position: HR Officer 
Location: Chesterfield 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 
Salary: up to £30k per annum subject to experience

About the role: 

As a small department of 3 people (in total) the role demands someone who is confident at delivering independently both on day to day managerial advice and on projects and is as equally happy to get involved as a team player with all aspects of the administration of the department. Preferred level of qualification: CIPD level 5 (or equivalent work experience). 

Responsibilities: 

- Recruitment including creation of job adverts, CV sifting, supporting managers with interviewing 
- Employee Relations including leading on probationary review meetings, disciplinary hearings, performance management advice and sickness absence case management 
- Onboarding of new entrants including producing / checking of contracts and job descriptions 
- Maternity and Paternity contact and paperwork 
- Line Management Training / coaching 

In addition to these day to day operational activities you will become the specialist or a project lead in areas which may include: 

- Training analysis and administration 
- Management of the car scheme 
- Lead on pension and maintaining the relationship with their pension provider 
- Lead on monthly MI production 
- Payroll lead 
- Lead on apprentice levy use 
- Policy ownership 
- Lead on change of HR software 
- Other projects as required such as change management 

About you: 

- Experience in an existing HR role 
- Preferably CIPD qualified to level 5 or working towards 
- Experience with all aspects of Employee Relations cases 
- Employment Law Knowledge 
- Administration and recruitment experience 
- Experience of People HR Software 
- Pensions and / or payroll experience desirable 
- Experience of HR in the financial services sector desirable 
- Able to engage stakeholders at all levels with confidence, high level of interpersonal skills 
- Strong IT skills, competent in the use of Excel and Microsoft Office
