HR Officer (Human Resources, HR Systems) BLUH63158

Leeds

Competitive Salary

Our client will be one of the largest pensions pools in the UK when established in 2018. They will be one of eight nationally pooled funds, and will oversee the investment of pensions assets, bringing together £43 billion investments of 12 likeminded Local Government Pensions Scheme funds.

They are building an FCA regulated investment company to manage these assets through both internal and external management with a number of investment vehicles, including an Authorised Contractual Scheme. Work on creating the company is well progressed to ensure the structures are in place to start to take on assets from mid- 2018.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a HR Officer to join them in Leeds to develop a great place to work with excellent development opportunities in a learning organisation built on its values and culture.

Within the role you will support all areas of HR accountability from Recruitment, Onboarding and Learning to Culture, Engagement and Employee Relations. Developing efficient admin systems and supporting the delivery of regulatory requirements, you will work with managers to deliver effective inductions, offer HR advice and liaise with Finance and Payroll teams, delivering a seamless service to all colleagues.

Developing and maintaining the new HR system and researching new HR services and areas to develop, you will promote a continuous learning culture and help managers/ colleagues continue their professional development.

With previous experience of working in HR, or good knowledge and understanding of HR from professional studies, you will be an excellent communicator and demonstrate a flexible approach with a willingness to support any areas as required in a small organisation. A great organiser and planner, you will have good PC skills along with knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of HR Systems would be a distinct advantage.

Able to demonstrate integrity and ownership of activities through to resolution, you will have experience of delivering high quality admin activities. An understanding of Financial Services or Investment Management would be an advantage but isn’t essential.

This is a genuinely exciting and rare opportunity to play a key role in delivering the support mechanisms to enable the future success of one of the largest Pensions Pools in the UK from scratch.
