HR Officer 

As an experienced HR generalist this is an opportunity for you to join a national network of HR professionals providing valued and comprehensive HR support to a management team across services in Shropshire and Worcestershire. 

You will be joining a national charity that's been supporting people with learning disabilities since 1962. They provide learning disability services to more than 2,500 people, putting the people they support at the centre of everything they do. 

Position: Senior HR Officer (maternity cover) 
Location: Shropshire & Worcestershire 
Contract type: 12 month Temporary Contract (or until current post holder returns) 
Hours: Part-time: 21 hrs p w (Wed/Thurs/Fri) 
Salary: £33,076 FTE pa (rising to £34,146 FTE pa after successful completion of probation period), plus benefits incl. car allowance 

Closing Date: 21st July 2017 
Interview/ Assessment Date: 28th July 2017 (in Market Harborough) 

About the role: 

Operational colleagues face many challenges in the current economic climate and they need to ensure that they are fully supported with timely and professional HR advice 

As an organisation, whilst they always make sure they support ‘business as usual’, they also look to innovate and come up with new ideas right across the whole organisation. So, whilst your technical knowledge in employee relations, TUPE, and experience of recruitment will be invaluable, you will also expected to contribute ideas both to the wider HR team as well as be a key member in the divisional management team. 

About you: 

You will need to be CIPD qualified and be confident in your knowledge of employee relations, advising managers and be able to establish your credibility quickly, with both HR colleagues as well as operational managers. A driving license is essential, as although this is a home-based role, you will need to travel to various locations across the region and attend occasional meetings in Bristol, as well as support other services.
