They are looking for HR Service Officers to join their HR Shared Service Centre in delivering a customer focussed, effective and efficient HR transactional and administrative service. This is your chance to work within a vibrant and supportive team, that sit at the heart of their policing family by supporting and serving their people.
Opportunities are available across two teams within the HR Shared Service Centre; Employee Services and Recruitment.
HR Services Officer Responsibilities:
Our client's Employee Services Team provides first-line HR advice across their forces. You will manage and resolve customer enquiries and requests for service support in line with the relevant force policies, which includes dealing with transactional HR processes, such as maternity, secondments, absence management and payroll. When their employees have a HR related query or problem, the HR Services Officers are on hand to support; it is therefore essential that you are able to provide excellent customer service to every individual, every time.
Their Recruitment Team provide an effective, quality transactional service across recruitment and training.. You will be involved right from the start of the process, from job advert creation to organising interviews, to then managing the offer process and dealing with queries along the way. Your role will ensure a great recruitment and onboarding experience by supporting both Hiring Managers and applicants throughout the journey, right up to day one in their new position.
HR Services Officer Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will be a resilient self-starter, an effective organiser and may have already had experience in a HR or recruitment position. As an excellent communicator, you will be able to deal confidently with internal and external customers verbally; over the telephone or face to face, and in writing. You will work with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring maintenance of information and integrity of data records.
As a representative of HR, you will uphold the high standards of the department and the force at all times, prioritising your work to meet their agreed deadlines and delivery standards, whilst also maintaining confidentiality.
Location: Force HQ - Ripley, Derbyshire
Salary: £16,893 to £23,406 per annum
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term (6-12 months), Permanent
