Position: HR Systems Functional Analyst
Location: Kedleston Road, Derby
Contract type: Fixed Term, 18 months
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £26,498 to £29,131 per annum

About the Role:
This is a temporary role to support the system team in the on-going daily and monthly maintenance for the Resource Link (NGA) HR and payroll system, providing support to users of both the core system and the self-service facility offered to all staff.
The HR Systems Analyst will work in close partnership with the wider HR team and University Colleges and Departments (especially Payroll, IT Services and Finance). The post holder will be expected to be fully conversant with Resource Link and be able to quickly release time for the two substantive post holders to be involved in the implementation of a new software solution.
The successful candidate will have a degree/HND or comparable experience gained through professional experience. You will also have professional and/or technical industry-standard qualifications, e.g. Advanced Microsoft Excel. You will have experience of working with the Resource Link integrated HR/Payroll system, including RRS and experience of customer relationship delivery, having contributed to a successful customer focused, responsive service. Experience of contributing to continuous improvements within a team is also essential.
Additionally, you will have experience of working/responding independently and dealing with unforeseen problems and circumstances. You will have experience of working and delivering service against SLA’s and experience of working within a Higher Educational Institution. You will also have experience of assessing data, presenting results and putting forward recommendations. You will also have proven knowledge of a range of technologies, their capabilities and benefits, specifically Cognos, Impromptu and advanced Microsoft Excel. An understanding of information security and governance is also essential.
