Our client is a not-for-profit housing association dedicated to offering quality homes for independent living. Their vision is simple, it is focused on “Living Longer, Living Better”. They want to help their residents age well, live independently and maintain their quality of life for as long as possible.
It’s an exciting time to join them as they move forward towards achieving their aim of becoming the 'Market Maker' in Independent Living. They embrace a ‘One Team’ ethos and employ people who are pioneering and who strive to be outstanding in their role. In return, they empower them to be the very best that they can be. As a result, they can continue to ensure their customers remain at the very heart of everything they do.
To support the People Team to deliver their objectives, they are growing the team and are looking for a Human Resources Advisor to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Ensuring the ‘one team’ delivery of effective and outstanding people services, you will provide generalist HR support and advice to managers to enable them to deal with their people issues and meet organisational objectives. You will support managers and employees with employee relations issues including sickness absence, grievance and disciplinary cases, ensuring that business risk is well managed with a commercial and common sense approach and escalated where appropriate.
As HR Advisor, you will also provide full resourcing and recruitment support to managers, ensuring that time and cost per hire is kept to a minimum and that recruitment statistics are maintained. Coaching managers in interviewing, assessment and selection techniques, you will assist with the identification of talent across the organisation and integrate talent planning with succession and performance management.
They are looking for an individual who has exceptional organisational and prioritising skills and impeccable attention to detail. Able to build effective working relationships with people at all levels, you will be Level 5 CIPD qualified and have previous experience of working in HR to include advising and coaching managers in people management issues and managing employee relations cases.
With the ability to deal effectively with multiple, sometimes conflicting demands from different stakeholders, you will have an understanding on employment law and its application and have knowledge of the entire people lifecycle. You should have experience of recruitment techniques and methodologies, producing and analysing HR metrics and be comfortable writing people policies and managers ‘tool kits’.
Those who either hold or who are working towards a Level 7 CIPD qualification are highly desirable, as are those who have experience of producing content on internal/external websites.
There are a number of reasons why you should join them – they can offer you a work and home life balance, development opportunities and a great number of benefits including childcare vouchers, free parking, pension scheme, life assurance, an Employee Assistance Programme, Simplyhealth cash plan and free refreshments!
