Our client is on an accelerated growth path within the scientific / manufacturing sector. Following a significant leadership change, this role is an opportunity to build a forward-looking, pro-active HR function. Reporting to the MD and an integral part of the Leadership team, the HR Manager will be key in helping the MD chart and drive a culture of employee development, performance, accountability and inclusivity. They are seeking a “hands on” HR manager who is passionate about people, who plans and delivers, can work autonomously and can influence from the board to the shop floor.
Human Resources Manager Responsibilities:
• To lead, contribute to and implement their HR strategy, translating business goals into best HR practice. • To cultivate a positive, proactive, collaborative and forward-looking people function whilst managing normal day to day HR matters associated with being an SME manufacturer. This includes management of the HR budget and a direct report. • To drive performance, engagement and L&D, investing in ALL staff & helping them reach their potential • To support the MD and Leadership Team as their people subject matter expert • To help make them an Employer of Choice
Human Resources Manager Requirements:
• Experience of an HR manager or HR business partner role • MCIPD or relevant bachelor’s degree • Experience with technical and blue-collar employees, ideally within an SME and/or manufacturing • Experience within a £25-50m company / business unit • Involvement in a large-scale people transformation / change management project • Demonstrable success in people development and contributing to organisation performance • Legally able to work and live in the UK without company sponsorship

A growing UK company with in-house Sales & Marketing, R&D and manufacturing, it supplies products globally from its new first-class premises. Specac has approximately 80 employees based UK and Asia.
Location: Orpington, London Salary: c.£55,000 per annum (depending on experience) + up to 30% bonus Job Type: Permanent, Full time Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm; office based.
