Our role:

Here at Black Sun we are searching for an ambitious HR Officer to join our growing HR team. This role is most suited to someone who is interested in all aspects of HR and Recruitment and wants to take on a whole range of HR and Recruitment responsibilities as well as get involved with projects to help us improve our talent attraction and retention strategies.

With our role you will truly have the chance to get involved in every aspect of talent attraction, retention and development activities. For this, we’ll need a highly motivated and charismatic individual with a real interest in growing  their HR career in a very busy and growing organisation. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills; be able to multi-task; have a real sense of accountability; and have a positive and enthusiastic approach to their work and a 'can-do' and 'roll up your sleeves' attitude to getting the job done.

Key responsibilities:

·Recruiting staff, which involves developing job descriptions, preparing job adverts, shortlisting, social media campaigns, targeting prospective candidates

· Own HR administration tasks including staff letters, employment contracts, maintaining Black Sun’s HRIS and maintaining the Company’s Employee Handbook;

·Work closely with departments, assisting managers to understand and implement policies and procedures and supporting staff where required;

·Own the staff on-boarding programme, organising staff references, implementing Black Sun’s on-boarding programme, putting together induction packs and booking in the induction programme;

·Support the Head of Talent with a broad range of HR activities and projects across the whole HR spectrum from employee relations, reward and benefits, awards entries, company surveys;

·Support the Talent Development Consultant with a range of internal learning and development activities to enhance staff development;

·Remain up to date with HR regulation changes, news and best practices and proactively share this information with the team.

What we’re looking for:

·Relevant higher education qualification e.g. Degree, Certificate (e.g. CIPD), or Diploma is essential

·You must have some experience working within a busy internal HR team with demonstrable experience in recruitment and broader HR support

·Some experience working with (or managing) HIRS would be ideal

·Need to have influencing and negotiating skills to implement personnel policies

·The ability to analyse, interpret and explain employment law

·You must have strong administration, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop relationships with managers

·You must be comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline orientated culture and have the ability to manage many urgent and often, conflicting priorities

·Need an ability to show initiative in solving problems and identifying improvements

·Adept with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

·Someone with a great sense of humour and fun!!
