Implementation Project Manager - Financial Services - £50K-£60K + bonus/benefits

My client is a global FS firm based in London. They are looking to grow out this team as they are seeing a lot of exciting growth and improvements. This role will play a key part in maintaining positive relationships with major clients throughout the entire onboarding process. It will therefore require a person with the ability to deliver end to end programmes.

This person will be required to drive a plan implementing organisational change in corporate IT across many countries and cultures in EMEA. You will work with IT team leaders to embed new ways of working in the new organisation across EMEA. This person will focus on ensuring changes to IT processes, systems and technology; job roles and organization structures have appropriate plans and agreed schedules for delivery.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Apply a structured project management approach to develop plans and schedules for the workstream as part of a larger programme
  • Track financial targets to ensure costs are managed within budget and forecast savings are realised
  • Manage inter-dependencies between this workstream and others in the programme
  • Work within a specific regime and Daptiv tool set to manage, control and report on the project.
  • Produce all relevant status reporting into Stakeholders and Steering committees
  • Manage business analyst resource and track activities of same
  • Manage and track activities of workstream resources in the UK and across EMEA
  • Work with communication, training, and HR specialists in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support project implementation.

Skills and qualifications:

  • A solid understanding and experience of applying project management disciplines and methodologies including tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
  • Experience of running projects across multiple countries and cultures
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Strong analytic and decision making abilities.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with and through others.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Sponsorship and stakeholder management skills - especially across a diverse geographic region and at multiple levels
  • Able to operate effectively in an environment with tight deadlines, finite resource and uncertainty.
  • Excellent facilitation skills at both large and small groups, including senior stakeholder levels
