Interim HR Manager - Leading Non Food FMCG Business

Our client is a family owned branded producer of quality non-food consumer goods supplying leading multiple retailers. The leading brands they own are household names, and their products are used in nearly every home in the UK. They now have an ambitious plan to significantly build upon their +£40m turnover both through the introduction of exciting new products and also by growing substantially their overseas markets.
This is an interim HR Manager role, initially for 3 months but with high potential to be extended. You will be working alongside the HR Advisor.
All candidates must be available for an immediate start.
This role will report directly to the Managing Director
+ Control of all the day to day HR activities and procedures, including disciplinary, absence and performance across multiple company sites.
+ Conduct regular reviews, recommend and implement improvements to the company’s policies, procedures and practices on all HR matters.
+ Alongside hiring managers and the leadership team, identify resourcing needs and co-ordinate all relevant recruitment and selection activities.
+ Keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and HR best practice, and share knowledge within the team to ensure Company compliance and continuous development and improvement.
+ Liaising with legal services and implementing their advice as appropriate

The ideal candidate:
+ HR Generalist
+ Must be able to demonstrate success in similar roles within a FMCG/manufacturing environment.
+ Must have experience of working with family owned businesses, and understand the dynamics and decision making differences between private and corporate enterprises.
+ Ideally hold a CIPD qualification (minimum level 5) or relevant degree (or equivalent)
+ Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of employment law and HR best practice
