You will join them as an International HR Business partner and will work in partnership with the Global Automotive Operations Director, country leaders, country Senior HR Leaders/ Business Partners and key stakeholders to shape, develop and deliver HR plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of UL worldwide.

Operating as the departmental Global HR expert, to advise, guide and support colleagues and senior leaders by providing high level people management and development support across the Automotive sector. You will formulate strategy and execute initiatives relating to Global Automotive people strategy for the UK and rest of the world automotive accounts, providing internal and external customer support and driving business excellence and process improvement.

International HR Business Partner Responsibilities:

• Providing advice and guidance to the Operations Director and managers on employment matters; influencing management and the leadership around the people agenda
• Identifying HR priorities from country and local plans, translating business requirements into effective HR practices and delivering people solutions aligned to business objectives taking into consideration at all times the country specific legislation and culture.
• Delivering Global HR initiatives across the HR spectrum, including workforce planning, restructuring, resourcing, talent management, pay and reward, employee relations, employee engagement and performance management.
• Ensuring international legislation and key stakeholders in all territories are informed / consulted on relevant changes such as restructures, redundancies etc.
• Analysing and reporting Global HR information to support with benchmarking and the development of HR strategies and solutions. Ensuring that all internal and external reporting requirements are satisfied through the provision of management information.
• Supporting the development and implementation of global pay and reward strategy e.g. through support with pay negotiations, production of annual pay and Bonus award proposals by territory.
• Developing and maintaining good relations (informal and formal) with the recognised forums, works councils and or trade unions and leading on negotiations where necessary.
• Ensure robust global succession planning is in place for all teams with plans being delivered to support business growth requirements.
• Champion employee engagement, developing the strategy to drive global activity and coaching the leadership population in order to develop excellence in this area. Working with the employee engagement lead to ensure the solution is appropriate for global use.

International HR Business Partner Responsibilities:

Essential

• Educated to Graduate level or equivalent
• Experience of managing an International HR team in excess of 4 people and at a level above HR Managers
• Proven experience of developing UK and International HR strategy
• Experience of developing business teams and increasing team capability
• UK and International recruitment experience at senior manager and director level
• Effective project management skills with proven ability to develop robust project and task plans and monitor results
• Experience in working and influencing in a stakeholder and customer driven environment
• Proven success within a commercially focussed environment

Desirable

• CIPD qualified or equivalent
• Qualified in SHL Level 2/BPS Level B
• Previous delivery within an environment of a high degree of organisational change
