Part Time possible: 29 hours over 4 days pro rata


Our client is an independent housing company providing more than 9,000 quality affordable homes within the Trafford area of Manchester.


The Role


The L&D Advisor will provide a business consultancy service to support the strategic goals of the organisation by working with senior managers and staff to identify, analyse and deliver solutions to meet individual, team and organisation-wide training and development requirements.


They will have a strong knowledge of the entire learning life-cycle and measuring return on investment. Their approach will be innovative, demonstrating the ability to provide creative learning solutions that support the achievement of the Trusts business plan ambitions and increase the colleague and customer experience. They will have proven project management knowledge with high levels of organisational skills and analytical ability. The successful candidate will need to have the ability to influence and build trust at a senior level, as well as high energy and enthusiasm, balanced with diplomatic intelligence and listening skills.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Participate in the organisations induction and On-Boarding process
  • Create and maintain central training records for all staff.
  • Design and deliver training modules at employee and management level.
  • Develop and implement appropriate systems and methods for training needs analysis and evaluation, providing accurate and meaningful reports for both the department and management.
  • Drive a high level of staff engagement to learning, across the Trust.
  • Control the central training budget, and manage the process of employees participating in gaining external qualifications.


Essential Criteria:


  • CIPD qualified in Learning & Development (Foundation level)
  • Previous experience within an L&D Advisor role
  • Evidence of on-going professional and personal development.
  • Experience of designing and delivering On-Boarding and internal training courses
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills across all levels of the business


Desirable Criteria:


  • CIPD qualified in Learning and Development (Intermediate or Advanced level)
  • Experience of 360 Degree Appraisal process and Coaching
