Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Learning & Development Manager on behalf of an established commercial business based in South Yorkshire. Reporting into the Head of Talent & Development the role will encompass the full range of Learning & development activities.
Responsible for the overall management of Learning and Development function whilst assisting with the production and delivery of a Learning & Development Strategy that reflects the business objectives, values and behaviours, the role will ensure colleagues have the necessary skills and capabilities to support business requirements.
The role will be responsible for developing a leadership population who have strong leadership capability and role model the values and behaviours of the business. Additionally the role will manage a small team responsible for providing training activity and support to the business regarding; trainees, apprentices, graduates, professional qualifications and training coordination.
Key accountabilities will include:
*Design and delivery of the Academy programme, in conjunction local leaders and external supplier partners, ensuring that it supports the development requirements of the respective departments involved
*Lead on the redesign of the Leadership Programme to support the outputs of our engagement survey and talent mapping activity
*Embed an approach to ensure Trainees, Apprentices and Graduates receive the relevant support and development
*Ensure the business has a strategic approach to maximizing the use of the Apprentice Levy
*Manage the coordination of Training and Development activity through a small team
*Manage the delivery of training through external partners to ensure it is cost-effective and appropriate
*Manage the Capture of Data for Regional Reporting & Group Reporting and produce Management Information
*Operate within a Competency Matrix
To be successful in this role you will have:
*A proven track record and management capability within an L&D role including full experience of the training cycle, TNA, design, delivery and evaluation
*Experience of setting up an Academy approach to training
*Experience of operating within a competency matrix framework as well as managing a team
*Demonstrable experience of working with Apprentices, graduates and trainees
*Experience of mandatory and compliance training possibly within an manufacturing or construction industry environment
