Job Title: Procurement Coordinator

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire

Salary: £24,000 and £28,000 depending on skills and experience

Job Type: 35 a week, Monday-Friday, Permanent

Benefits: Pension with 3% contributions, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays rising to 25 days after 5 years, 2 x salary death in service benefit, health care cash plan, as well as many others

The company is looking to recruit a Procurement Coordinator with at least two years’ experience to join the Supply Chain team at their site in Banbury.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join their expanding Supply Chain Team at their Banbury plant.  The successful candidate will be highly motivated and will be able to direct and coordinate the purchase of a range of materials for the Company whilst ensuring that they are working in accordance with specifications, budgets and agreed quality standards.

They are a leading privately owned global food ingredients business. The European division is rapidly growing and is a market leader in the manufacture of food coatings, seasonings and functional ingredient systems.

The company’s Banbury site manufactures food coatings systems, dry blends, bread crumbs and rusk products. The site is a real success story and the team consistently deliver significant growth year on year. The site has a major ongoing capital investment plan and with a new production capability currently being built, it is an exciting time to join them.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse daily stock requirement report spreadsheets
  • Monitor purchase orders to ensure that materials are confirmed, delivered on time, at the agreed price, within agreed specification and comply with the company’s quality standards
  • Maintain regular contact with Factory Management, Planning and Customer Service departments to work towards minimising any issues that could impact on customer requirements
  • Work with Accounts and Buyers to resolve invoice queries
  • Assist Inventory & Supply Chain Managers on weekly/monthly raw material reporting demands where required

Key Requirements:

  • Two years’ experience in procurement
  • Excellent communication skills, and able to balance conflicting demands
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Computer literate, especially Excel
