As our Recruitment and Talent Advisor in our Hemel Hempstead Office, your main responsibility will be to source exceptional candidates for our Centre Management roles.  You’ll ensure that they have the right skills to do the job but most importantly, that they have the right attitude to match our fast paced, fun and performance driven culture.  You’ll also get involved in exciting recruitment and training projects to support our business development which in turn, will enhance your skills and knowledge in different areas.

Having an agency background will make you ideal for the role as you’ll mostly be head hunting candidates directly, you’ll use social media channels to find and engage with candidates so previous experience in this is required.  You’ll need to be full of fresh ideas and have a pro-active approach to your work to succeed with us!

There may be some travel involved so ideally you’ll need to be able to drive and have your own transport.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Centre Management recruitment processes from attraction to selection, working closely with the Regional Support Managers and HR Business Partners

  • Telephone screening

  • Support HR Business Partners with setting up and running recruitment events

  • Manage all induction plans & offer packs, including pre-employment referencing, for all Hemel Office and Centre Management new starters

  • Manage the recruitment social media sites with our Employer Branding agency to ensure the sites are up to date and portray HBG as a great place to be

  • Monitor the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) activity at centre level and offer support to managers where necessary

  • Proactive support for centres with their recruitment – reporting on trends, conducting research on the local area to spot advertising opportunities, coaching and supporting centre management teams as required

  • Train new managers on the ATS

  • Own the recruitment and training pages on the company intranet, updating documents as and when required

  • Monitor and review the training and sign off of newly promoted/recruited managers in accordance with the company induction programme. 

  • Coordination & Administration of HBG Top Talent projects

  • Attend regional meetings to gather feedback and discuss new initiatives with Regional Support Managers and Centre Management Teams.

Person Specification

Essential Requirements

  • Previous recruitment experience

  • Word and Excel skills from intermediate to advanced level

  • Experience of using an HR databases

  • Confident, professional telephone manner

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Appreciation of confidentiality

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Accurate/Organised

  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve tight deadlines

  • Desirable Requirements

  • Experience as a recruitment agency consultant

  • CPP/CIPD qualification

  • PowerPoint experience

  • Experience of managing projects

  • Extensive social media experience

  • Experience of running training sessions

  • Own transport and clean driving licence
