A leading software business (internationally owned, global leader in its niche field) is looking for a Talent Manager to join its developing HR function.
Managing and developing a team of 3, this role will take overall responsibility for sourcing activity across the UK business, looking to ensure that the business attracts the best possible talent and develops as a recognised employer of choice, particularly for developer talent.
The function manages hires at all levels and across all functions but as a software business the functions primary focus is hiring tech, developer and graduate hires.
The function is relatively new, it has some structure and process in place. This will need to be understood, appreciated and built upon but due to the international nature of the ownership of the firm, some strategic decisions are taken at a group international level. The role will therefore need to work within that structure, working to implement locally, developing where possible and innovating at a local level.
This is a great opportunity for someone to gain or further develop their people management experience in a talent lead role. The business places a large focus on quality of hire, its an environment that will test and sharpen stakeholder management skills and always look for its talent function to be proactive, energetic and diligent to stay one step ahead of the competition.
To apply to the role, you should be a recruitment professional who has experience of recruiting into high tech (software) environments. You should have exposure to senior level and graduate recruitment within those businesses. Ideally level A and B qualified you will have experience of running assessments and it is preferred that you have managed teams of recruiters before. Agency experienced is appreciated but this really needs to be complimented by in house exposure and applicants without in house experience should not apply.
The successful candidate will be tenacious, driven and a strong stakeholder manager, someone who will be skilled at managing a team and managing a mixture of stakeholders across the UK and International Matrix. Self-starting, proactive but sensitive, the successful person will demonstrate commercial acumen and first call relationship building skills with an impressive track record of improving a tech / software businesses recruitment activity.
