Elevation HR are delighted to be recruiting for a Training and Competency Manager for one of our clients based in Doncaster. Reporting to the Head of HR, the Training & Competency Manager role will be responsible for all areas of learning & development for the organisation and in particular ensuring that competency training and management is adequate and adhered to. The role will work closely with all business units to proactively identify current and future training needs. The management of a competent workforce is the main deliverable for this role.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

- Continuously striving for a competent and compliant workforce in line with rules and regulations
- Developing, implementing and monitoring in-house training and development programs, inclusive of the company-wide apprenticeship scheme
- Establishing and developing relationships with local colleges and training providers to best utilise funding
- Managing and developing the apprenticeship levy
- Conducting effective and efficient training needs analysis and subsequent training programs
- Working with Managers to design and deliver suitable upskilling programs
- Designing and delivering a range of blended learning techniques
- In time, supporting the development of an Academy for the organisation

We are keen to speak with individuals with the following:

- Extensive experience of competency training capability
- Previous experience in a similar role within the engineering, manufacturing, transport, rail or automotive environments
- Operating in regulated environments with an emphasis on health and safety
- Experience of staff management of training facilitators
- Some experience of soft skills learning and development
- Experience of leadership coaching and development, may be facilitating rather than delivery
- Comfortable with delivering training and can demonstrate methods of delivery
- Experience of e-learning and blended learning techniques
- Training qualifications e.g. NVQ assessor, CITP, CIPD
- Extensive knowledge of risk assessment and working groups training
- Flexibility in terms of hours and travel
