SALARY: £20 - £22k, pa depending on experience

BENEFITS: Company Auto-enrolment Pension, 21 Days holiday (increasing to 25 after 6 months) + Bank holidays, Onsite parking

HOURS: Permanent, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, 1 hour for lunch

LOCATION: Newport TF10 9BN    

Established in 1991, our client is a private family-owned company based in Shropshire who are delighted to be recognised as an innovative and dynamic organisation and one that has achieved rapid growth and an enviable market position in their sector.

They are looking to recruit someone with a training, HR or recruitment background.to primarily organise and deliver the company induction programme to a large number of employees.


Working as a member of the HR team and reporting directly to the Apprenticeship & Training Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Being the main contact to plan, communicate and deliver the company induction programme which includes HR, H&S and appropriate Technical information
  • Assisting with the HR onboarding process, through collection of data via the induction process
  • Organising and delivering both manual handling training to new employees and refresher sessions as required
  • Assisting with training events, including training fairs, recruitment open days and internal training workshops
  • Ensuring all training documentation is completed appropriately and in a timely manner and recorded into the appropriate matrices and employee files
  • Monitoring the training matrices for specific areas, to ensure skill gaps are identified and address quickly
  • Assisting the Apprenticeship & Training Manager with other training related tasks, as required


  • Previous experience of working in a Training / HR environment, with the same or similar responsibilities.
  • Motivational and confident approach to dealing with large groups and repetitive tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with employees throughout the business.
  • Good level of Microsoft Office skills.
  • Team player.
  • Appropriate training qualifications.
