HR BUSINESS PARTNER – Office Based - £35,000 - £45,000

Are you an experienced HR Business Partner who can provide generalist HR support to a wide range of different clients, thriving on the variety of strategic HR, generalist support, employee relations, to transactional HR?

Do you enjoy working in an office with a team of passionate professionals, working independently and as part of a team to provide outsourced HR support across a wide range of clients?

Can you work collaboratively with businesses helping them to achieve their people strategy and offer pragmatic and clear advice and guidance?

We are seeking to recruit a HR Business Partner to join our friendly Outsourced HR company based in Seaford, East Sussex.  We are looking for a qualified HR Professional who shares our passion, has a breath of knowledge and experience, and relishes a busy and friendly workplace where we are all office based (except for attending meetings).

This is an excellent opportunity for a HR Professional who is seeking a busy and varied role but has a flexible approach to adapt to our wide range of clients and sectors that we support. Our ethos is to ensure that we provide high quality HR support, in a friendly and practical way where we build strong working relationships with our clients. We recognise that every client needs a different level of support, a different approach, but most importantly a HR professional that understands HR solutions in the wider business context.

Sussex HR Limited has been established since 2009, and it has expanded to include two sister companies.  The team currently consists of 12 employees but is increasing to 14 due to growth, and we need a HR Business Partner to join our team.

Working in an outsourced HR company is very different to working in-house as a HR professional, so we are looking for someone who loves the challenge and wants to develop whilst being able to provide practical and commercial HR solutions. 

This role will stretch HR professionals due to the wide breadth and variety of the role; but we love it!

Key personal skills and experience:

  • Ability to manage and guide on complex employee relations issues, generalist HR, strategic HR, and transactional HR.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport and relationships with clients, and to explore HR issues thoroughly.
  • Ability to write HR letters without the reliance of template letters, and complex employee relation management statement of cases
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Employment Legislation
  • Experience in supporting managers in all aspects of HR, through attending meetings and proactively managing the HR processes.
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Commitment to providing a high-quality HR service; ranging from answering basic enquiries to strategic HR.
  • Ability to provide clear HR advice and assistance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt quickly.
  • Business acumen and the desire to build strong relationships with the managers you are supporting.
  • Ability to develop and sustain our reputation for providing a friendly, proactive, and supportive HR service to our clients.
  • Pragmatic and friendly approach
  • Thirst to understand the needs of the clients.
  • A sense of humour!

We are based in Seaford, 20 minutes from Eastbourne and 30 minutes from Brighton but you will be required to visit your clients for meetings.  A full, clean driving license is essential as is the use of your own vehicle.
